Every Tuesday, the previous night's Gossip Girl is examined by the staff at New York Magazine and assigned scores according to its "reality index."
Check out some of the highlights from the magazine's analysis of In The Realm of the Basses

• Blair Waldorf's address, according to the mail, is 1136 Fifth Avenue. Seems reasonable. Plus 5. Also, the Colony Club? Unfortunately real. Plus 2.

• When Dan reaches to kiss Serena, he has a lovely manicure. Minus 1.

• How awesome was it when Blair started shushing Dorota about Chuck, and Dorota instinctively started shushing herself? Plus 3.

• People are allowed to give babies up for adoption! In fact, if parents aren't ready, it's a wonderful thing to do for a child and a set of hopeful parents. Minus 10 to the producers for making it seem so incessantly monstrous.
• Jenny dyed her roots halfway through the episode! Plus 1.

• Chuck shows up at school wasted, smoking hash and wearing a horrible (sans scarf) and all Blair can think about how he hasn’t said "I love you." Plus 1.

• Let's discuss Uncle Jack. Hot, but a letdown. He's an idiot in this episode, and we're led to believe he's going to be an appropriate villain in the next? Minus 5.

• The scene when Blair looks into the mirror, cries, gets serious, crumples, and freezes is perhaps the best moment all season. Plus 20. Where is her Emmy?!

• Serena tells Dan she never e-mailed or called him after break because she "needed to make sure we both felt the same when the dust settled." Sure. Because teenagers are known for their patience and maturity. Minus 3.

• Uncle Jack gives 15-year-old Eric van der Woodsen a drink and told him to enjoy it. Plus only 2, because how did that kid get in there anyway? Even a bouncer at Chuck's bar wouldn't let in someone who looks approximately nine.
• Dan always has the most beautiful coats. Sorry, they don't have Zegna at Buffalo Exchange. We've checked. Minus 3.
  
  
• Dan: "Well, you look tan." Serena: "Well, it is summer in Buenos Aires." Um,
  Serena is white as a ghost. Minus 2.

Taylor Lautner IS Jacob Black

Director Chris Weitz announced the news on author Stephenie Meyer’s official site, saying, “I’m very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he’s doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.”

Miles To Go

Miley Cyrus graces the cover of her new autobiography, “Miles To Go”, which hits bookstores in March.

The 16-year-old teen sensation signed the book deal to pen her autobiography back in April. She shared, “I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me. I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together, and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams.”

Another Blond Wig?

Selena Gomez's new blonde wig reminded me of an old photoshoot that she had wearing a different blonde wig a while back. It was one of the first photos I saw of her.

White Horse

Country music sweetheart Taylor Swift has finished filming on her new music video for White Horse, another single off her hit album Fearless. She shot the music video on Tuesday. It was directed by Trey Fanjoy and filmed in Nashville's Germantown. It also features One Tree Hill's Stephen Colletti. Most people know Stephen from Laguna Beach and a few episodes of The Hills.

Haley On Demi

“She's a Disney star, but she tears it down - the girl has pipes!”- Haley Williams, (the lead singer of band Paramore.) on Demi Lovato's voice.

Twilight On DVD

Director Catherine Hardwicke revealed to MTV recently that the DVD would include at least 12 deleted scenes — including “Midnight Sun”, the book which tells the story from Edward’s perspective (author Stephenie Meyer abandoned when it was prematurely leaked online).

Selena Tinkerbell Gomez

Selena Gomez dressed up in green as Tinker Bell in a new Wizards of Waverly Place episode called 'Peter Pan'; which airs January 18 at 8:30 ET/PT. In episode “Fairy Tale”, Alex (Gomez) takes over for her best friend Harper (Jennifer Stone) in their school’s production of Peter Pan. Phil of the Future actor Dan Benson guest stars as Peter Pan. Know what I just realized Wizards is exactly like Sabrina the teenage witch. :O

Demi Lovato on Solo Tour

Twilight's sequel New Moon is set to start shooting in March 2009 and there is a new character named Leah Clearwater. Leah is a Native American.. and also a werewolf. She's the daughter of Harry & Sue and older sister to Seth.

According to VABN, rumors have been flooding the internet on who is up for the coveted role. And Brenda Song and Vanessa Hudgens have brought the buzz.

To Perform?

Fox News reported that the Jonas Brothers as well as Miley Cyrus maybe be performing at a children's party on January 19th taking place at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.


Obama did say if he was elected president he was going to invite the Jonas Brothers to his inauguration so we probably will see some Jonas at the ceremony. Hopefully Miley too. :]

A Hit & A Miss

Bride Wars, the super chick flick starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, premiered in the NYC on Monday.

Kate his the red carpet looking beautiful in a unique, floor length black and white gown. It almost looked like a top and long ball gown style skirt. Her hair looks so intresting too.

Anne looked pretty but no wow factor. She looks thin and put together but this is a really girly movie. I was waiting for her to come in an exquisite dress.

Selena Gomez steps out in a platinum blonde wig at the Pepsi Holiday House in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon. Hanging out with her mom Mandy, the 16-year-old Wizards was seen rocking out Pur 100 percent fleece jeans, ebony heels and a blue sweater.

The only question I have is why is she wearing a platinum wing anyway?

iCarly Slimed!

The iCarly cast gets their green on in these new promo shots for the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards.

Bop Magazine was there for all the fun when Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette Mccurdy, Nathan Kress, and Keke Palmer got dumped with slime, which is a mixture of oatmeal and green food dye. Gross!!!

Jennette, 15, shared about her experience: “I was the most nervous, but everyone helped me though it.”

The 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards will be hosted in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 28, 2009.
