Chris Brown stopped into the LA Lids store at the Beverly Center on Saturday to unveil his new line of six exclusively designed New Era caps, which feature cartoon-like characters and lettering aimed for the young and stylin.’ “Hats have been my trademark since I started in the business about four years ago,” he says. “Young kids love hats, I love them. Everyone does. So that’s what attracted me to designing them.” Says Brown of the hat’s stylings, “One is of a foot smashing a radio. Its like saying undeniable music — like when you have smashes. At the same time it represents the rebel in you — not doing the conventional.” And for the true Brown fan, try the one that Chris calls his “alter-ego.” He say, “Another design is the nerd. It’s like my alter-ego. The goofy side. The character that you don’t really see. It’s like having a logo for my character.” He praises New Era for being “one of the best” and says he plans to branch off into shoes and watches next. :]

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley. Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick. Both of the incredibly good-looking Gossip Girl couples both rock the cover Entertainment Weekly in alternate editions this week. The great thing is the two sets of people swapped smiles. Leighton and Ed on the show are usually the ones with the sly grin instead of Blake and Penn. The other two usually are always grinning. I think they all look fantastic as usual but Blake looks a little off. Maybe I am not used to NOT grinning. So which one do you like better? Chair (Chuck & Blair) or Derena (Dan and Serena)?

And here comes the drama. :] According to several inside sources, a deal closed a few hours ago for Willa Holland, best known as Kaitlin Cooper on The OC, to come on board the cast of Gossip Girl in Season 2 for three episodes. She'll play Agnes, a 16-year-old model who meets Jenny while working for Blair Waldorf's bad*ss fashion designer mother, Eleanor Waldorf, and is supposedly anything but a good influence.
Also E! Online reports that a new love interest for none other than Miss Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). According to insiders, John Patrick Amedori has been cast as Aaron Rose, who was a major character in the Gossip Girl book series. He's an artist who will serve as a love interest for Serena in Season 2, and he has a philanthropic side which catches Serena's attention. Looks like Dan may have some serious competition. Cant they just realize they are perfect together!

There's some good news for the executives at the CW. :] After a really bad summer for the network, the second season premiere of Gossip Girl on Monday night got the show's highest ratings ever for them in all key demographics.
GG was able to return with a 6% increase in adult viewers since its premiere last yer. And it was also up 10% among the network's key demographics, people between 18-34.
FYI: If you thought the premiere of Gossip Girl was good, next week’s episode is even better!!! Blair (Leighton Meester) has some unforgettable lines, as usual!!! (Thanks Just Jared)
